Another gorgeous example of a Staffordshire Hen on Nest.
Staffordshire hen on nest tureen features a bisque glaze and great colors including burnt red, gray, green, yellow, black and white.
The piece has no marks. Therefore it dates to pre-1884. (Staffordshire only began marking pottery following this date.) It is in very good condition with the exception of a chip to the inside lid rim which is not visible for display. (Please see close up photos.) Overall crazing and age appropriate wear.
