This beautiful and colouful panorama of Paris was created by Matthaus Merian the Elder in 1638, and probably drawn from the Chauve Mont looking south west.

The map shows 56 structures including Notre Dame and La Bastille. This is a highly detailed panorama and was considered the finest of its time.
